While this is a bus powered hub, it DOES HAVE A POWER INPUT and CAN BE POWERED! The power requirements are listed on back, and an Android tablet power adapter just so happens to fit the bill. Prior to being powered the hub would occasionally fail to manage all connected devices; for example if charging a phone and using a wireless keybourd and a wired mouse all at once, one of these devices might not be found, but you can only expect so much from a bus-powered hub. The fact that it can also function as a powered hub is an added bonus!
