The structured shape of the bag allows you to stack things in a way that keeps the bag slim and polished looking instead of bulky/sloppy like most backpacks. The bag works well in a variety of settings, both business/business casual and day to day use on the weekend.To get an idea of capacity, I use this bag for commuting and here is what I keep inside:Main compartment + laptop pocket--• Leuchtturm1917 hard cover 6x8 (approx) planner• Softcover moleskin 8x10 sketchbook• MonBento MB original lunch box in MonBento lunch bag• Sigg waterbottle• Baggu reusable shopping bag• Kindle in hardcover lighted kindle case• 6 x 8 zipper pouch with pencils, pens, chargers + other misc supplies• Pair of thick winter socks• Thick circle scarf• A light jacketin inside zip pocket--• head and tail light for bike• train pass• bulky set of keys w/mace attachedin exterior zip pocket:• iphone7 in case• Hershel bifold walletWhile people obviously have personal preferences on how high they would like their bag to sit, at 5'3 and 95lbs, I find the smallest setting to suit me just fine. It might be nice for the straps to be slightly tighter and for the bag to sit slightly higher when I bike, but it works fine as is.The only concern I had when purchasing was worry that the straps would be uncomfortable, but I've found them to be fine. Of course not as comfortable as a thick gel padded strap, but they don't dig or irritate me in any way like I had expected they might, and I've carried some fairly heavy things inside. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Many pros, a few cons *by S***R on September 12, 2017* PROS:- Looks great! I'm always getting compliments.- Versatile. Appropriate in most casual settings as well as for work. I wouldn't bring it to a black tie wedding, but most occasions short of that.- Comfortable for long stretches, even when I have my laptop inside.- Waterproof as it gets without being rolltop.CONS:- Holes in the straps don't go small enough. I think I'll have to add my own at some point for a slightly tighter fit.- The clasp is unintuitive. I think it's supposed to be easier to clasp, but that ends up making it harder to get unclasped.- Got some sunscreen on it at some point and it's been impossible to get off, which means there are just white streaks on it now forever. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for petites and still carry a lot items! *by E***A on May 18, 2018* Perfect size for me! I’m only 5’3 so need a smaller bag and this is the perfect size for me.I use it for work and school with a 13” laptop, notebook, charger, a thin jacket, water bottle, sun glass with case.The inner laptop section is not thick so I added a small foldable shopping bag inside as extra pad and can use it when needed.The bag looks great! But it only has one external zipper pocket in the back for iphone7 with case ok.
