It was a heavy box because of all the metal but manageable. The frame was packaged and organized very well. **Q: Can these frames be attached together to make a king size from 2 twin beds** A: Zip ties. Be sure they are tight. It works but you will still need two twin mattresses side by side unless you have the Twin XL frames. Twin is 75" long and King is 80" long. Two twins is going to give you the hard seam in the middle.... **Q: It says inner mattress fit 79.5 and 75.5. but all the king size mattresses i am finding are 80 and 76. this frame claims to 81 and 77. will it fit?** A: Yes indeed! **Q: Can you use a box spring if you want to?** A: We have this bed in a full for my son. It is 39" wide but my mattress is 36" I bought two cheap white foam art craft boards and cut them to size to use underneath my mattress. I use a bedskirt and I laid the bedskirt on the frame and the board on top of the bedskirt. It works very well. The board is thin enough that my mattress can slide around on it yet not go outside of the frame.
