## Description

Packing a lot of power in its small frame, the Universal Nut Cracker is there for you when the nut refuses all other forms of persuasion. This nut splitter is a small and compact tool that splits nuts from 5/16-inch to 7/8-inch across flats. A hardened steel cutter, this is a hand tool only. Not to be used with power tools.

Review: works well, get stripped easily have to adjust - I got this to take off the nuts on my used open trailer that were fused on the first one or two worked well but it wasn't actually the product problem it was actually cuz I had very little room on the other side of the trailer underneath to get to the bolts so actually I had to use this product the nut splitter 2 Tac off little by little down to where I could get the nut off, because I was doing this the blade got stripped and wouldn't stay in place but if you just set it manually up against what you want to split it keeps on working and keeps on ticking. * don't get frustrated if this nut splitter keeps slipping off as you use a ratchet. What I did was I cranked it tight on the nut even in a tight space with the nut splitter once it was in grooved in there I went to the other side and if the nut splitter is wedged on the opposite side or you can hold it then you could use a second ratchet on the other side on the fault to loosen it. The problem I was having with the bolt has the nuts were fused on to them so every time I turned the bolt head the nut would spin
Review: Works Great - I had cheap ones years ago and they would break every time i tried them. I took a chance on this one for an exhaust collector stud nut. It was on a 2000 chevy plow truck. This nut splitter is well made. Real heavy duty it split that nut no problem. I highly recommend this.

I got this to take off the nuts on my used open trailer that were fused on the first one or two worked well but it wasn't actually the product problem it was actually cuz I had very little room on the other side of the trailer underneath to get to the bolts so actually I had to use this product the nut splitter 2 Tac off little by little down to where I could get the nut off, because I was doing this the blade got stripped and wouldn't stay in place but if you just set it manually up against what you want to split it keeps on working and keeps on ticking. * don't get frustrated if this nut splitter keeps slipping off as you use a ratchet. I had cheap ones years ago and they would break every time i tried them. I took a chance on this one for an exhaust collector stud nut. It was on a 2000 chevy plow truck. This nut splitter is well made. Real heavy duty it split that nut no problem. I highly recommend this.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well once, any more times are luck

7/15/23 Update Well whaddya know. The set screw broke on me on my second nut. I was trying to split a 19mm one. I ended up having to go at it with a chisel to get it split the rest of the way. Stinks that long term usage won't happen, but I still recommend it because when you need it, nothing else will do. Original review I had a 22mm (the limit for this tool) jam nut for a tie rod that was seized solid and it wasn't budging with my impact. I don't have heat so the only other option was to use this splitter. I was a little worried it wouldn't work after reading reviews, but it came through. You'll notice it actually cuts diagonally rather than straight up and down. Also, it does tend to kind of roll forward as you tighten down. These notes may be manageable if you kind of center punch the nut with a chisel prior. I don't know how may more nuts I'll be able to split with this, but if it works even just this once I think it's worth it. Especially considering it took me less than 5 minutes to split it when I had been fighting with the nut more than 3 hours prior.
