Not as good as another brand *by B***N on February 24, 2026* I own a stucco house. Every spring, I go around the house tapping with a mallet to dislodge anything that came loose in the previous year, and then to repair those parts. Over the last 10 years, I believe I have repaired about 1/3 of the stucco on my house. It's the trade-off. Stucco is extremely easy to repair as long as the damage isn't too deep, but it's a constant ongoing process. I ran out of the stuff I normally use, and both my nearby Ace and Home Depot were sold out. The price on Amazon had quadrupled, so I decided to try this. My overall impression is that it is not as good as what I was previously using. For superficial cracks and smally holes, it actually works great. The compound is extremely pliable when working with cracks. When repairing damaged sections, though, it lacks quite a bit to be desired. I had to repair two sections. On both sections, I had a lot of trouble getting this compound to properly adhere. One section was a fairly large area, about 2' x 2', where the surface had fallen off. The concrete-like under layer, even after thoroughly cleaning, had a very difficult time holding onto this. The other area, a decent sized hole had developed, and I needed to use a screen. On that area, I applied a good three coats. The screen held the compound better, but it still lacked a lot to be desired. It also didn't texture very well. With the old stucco patch I used, I have a hard time being able to tell which parts I've replaced and which parts are original. I can definitely see about half of what I replaced with this mixture, as the surface is noticeably smoother. If the price of the old stuff ever comes down, I will likely buy a bit to smooth over the inconsistent areas to make them match better. I was also peeved that this took so long to cure. The label said to allow 3 days before painting, and since I had to apply three coats on the one part, it took well over a week to get done with it allowing 3 days to cure each time. If I went out after 24 hours, it was still soft to the touch. I didn't have any cracking issues as others have stated, and people who didn't know that I had worked on these areas would not be able to tell the difference unless they really looked.
