The rubbery bottom prevents any sort of movement by the pad and generally keeps it situated. The cloth-top is very comfortable to my hand and allows for very smooth gliding of my mouse.The pad is about equal size (not quite as thick) as my old one, so it didn't take any adjusting from my usual setup.I do have one complaint with the service, though. I was never given a verification image like promised. I noticed my image, being a 16:9 (widescreen) image, it became a little distorted (a bit of horizontal compression), so a warning for that.Otherwise, I'm pretty satisfied with my product. It helped me feel confident in ordering a customized product without creating it in an online art tool.However, they DID NOT send me an e-mail proof to approve. They just shipped the product a few days after the order was placed without ever contacting me.However, since the photo I sent was the exact dimensions of the mouse pad, it turned out OK in the end. The product is of good quality.
