I have a midi 14x18 and they and good for spindles and such. I have a set of mini tools I use for fine detail on pens and such. **Q: Do they come sharpened?** A: Yea they come sharpened and are a great starter set I think. Just be ready to keep them sharp. They hold a good edge and I haven’t had a problem yet **Q: Are these tools made of M2 steel?** A: If they are actually made of m2 then there not heat treated or still in a the soft state. I've worked with m2 it's some pretty tough material these are not by any means but I still get decent usage out of them before resharpening. I would say there closer to like a drill rod material maybe softer. Wish I could check the Rockwell for you but alas that's not an option currently. Good luck **Q: How long are the these tools?
