I have squirrels that want nothing more than to get back into my attic. I got rid of them by removing the plastic gutter guards that went into place when my roof was replaced five years ago. The squirrels loved chewing through them and using the gutter as a tunnel to get to an opening they created by chewing into the fascia behind the gutter. I fixed that by installing flashing all around, and replacing the plastic gutter guards with the steel mesh type. That fixed the problem of them getting into the attic, but they could still get into the gutters through the end pieces which weren't protected by the mesh. I stuffed a cut off section of GutterBrush into the ends of the gutters to keep the squirrels from getting into them again.
