    Great Stand!

*by M***Z on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2013*

I love this monitor stand. It's awesome. I love that it has 4 additional USB Ports built into the stand. My keyboard fits perfectly under it and is easy to remove when needed. It is made for a low profile keyboard, so you won't be able to put a laptop under it unless it is a very thin laptop. My Mac keyboard just fits perfectly. It is aesthetically appealing and keeps my desk looking neat and tidy. Having the USB Ports in the front make for easy access when wanting to charge devices, plug in an external drive, etc. It's sturdy and made well. The entire unit is one piece, so there is nothing you have to put together and nothing that will break off of it. That makes it all the more appealing. It's worth the price and better than any other stand I have ever purchased.

    Fair Item, NO support!

*by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2014*

The stand is ok: It is just a steel stand painted gray, and as another reviewer noted it doesn't match the Mac finish, but is close enough. I have a problem with the included USB hub giving false error codes all the time. I sent emails to Sales and Customer Service at Macessity telling them of my problem and offering to just buy a new hub to fit the opening of the stand if they had it or would tell me where to get it. They didn't even acknowledge my emails much less answer them. It is pretty obvious that they couldn't care less about their customers.

Seems ok, but may be returned

*by E***M on Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2014*

I've only had this for about a week, and it may get returned.*** UPDATE: After the USB hub continued to fail sporadically for two weeks, I've returned this item.First, as others have mentioned it's not a perfect color match for the current iMacs. It doesn't look bad however, and this is easily ignored. Others have mentioned the bowing effect when placing a 27" iMac on it, and this is present, but slight. There is a peg under where the bulk of the computer sits to take the weight, but it probably needs to be a millimeter or two longer, as there is a slight bowing noticeable, but it's really not an issue. It certainly does not make the computer unstable. However, because of the placement of this peg, the Apple wireless keyboard will not slide completely under the stand. This could be viewed as a positive in that my fingers are not small enough to fish the keyboard out if it was entirely under the device. It slides enough to get the keyboard out of the way, and that's all I wanted. My big concern, and the one that might cause this to be sent back, is that the external power supply for the USB hub seems to be of very poor quality. I plugged the power supply into the same UPS as my computer, then as I was plugging the USB cable into the back of the iMac, I noticed a series of small sparks when the USB cable scraped along the metal case of the iMac. As anyone who has plugged a cable into the back of an iMac without first turning it around knows, there is a certain amount of hunting by touch involved with plugging any cables in. Since then, I have reseated the power cable more firmly into the back of the hub, and I think (hope, really) that when I plugged in the power cable originally that I simply didn't push it in far enough. However, I will continue to monitor it in hopes that it doesn't fry anything. I do not get this sparking effect with any other powered hubs. The last issue I have is really an Apple issue, but I feel it should be noted here anyway. When I plug any iOS7 device into the stand's front hub (using the lighting cable that came with my iPhone 5) the computer tells me that this is not an official cable and will not charge my device. The phone tells me the same thing. This is a result of Apple's microchip controlled lighting cable (the USB cable that all newer Apple devices use). In order to discourage cheap Apple cable knockoffs, Apple started using this hardware form of DRM. It's annoying, but the cable still passes data (the phone will sync) and I suspect that it does slowly charge the device. I'm including this information solely so that someone not familiar with these Apple induced issues doesn't assume that the fault lies with the tray. All of my USB hubs will do this with iSO7 devices (iSO 6 on the same devices didn't do this, BTW. Thanks, Apple.)
