Perfect for home/office for PC, Game Consoles, Blu Ray Players/Media Players Manufacturer Contact Information info@orei.com Review: Solid choice for this type of gadget - I needed to throw an HDMI signal (standard 1080p 60Hz) across the house. I also wanted to be able to monitor the image locally at the source, so that I wouldn't have to walk across the house to check on the image and sound. Enter this set of gadgets. I've used Orei products before (their HDMI splitters are REALLY nice and rock-solid) so I chose this product with some confidence. I was not disappointed. These worked exactly as described, throwing the signal cleanly to the destination. The local HDMI loop out worked just fine. The RF Blaster transmitter and receiver units worked very well too, which made remote control of the source very simple. In all, everything worked precisely as it should and held up solidly for a session that lasted MANY hours (probably about 5 or 6 hours of continuous operation). These Orei boxes barely got warm. I couldn't be more pleased with the performance of this product, and the price is mind-boggling cheap. Notes: Cat-5e and Cat-6 cables are slightly different internally. You will get longer range from a Cat-6 cable than a Cat-5e cable. Unless you're using existing Cat-5e for whatever reason, I'd recommend procuring a well-made Cat-6 cable to go with this Orei product. You'll get the maximum transmission range with Cat-6 cable. According to the manual that came with this product, Cat-5e range for 1080p 60Hz signal is 197ft maximum and Cat-6 range for 1080p 60 Hz signal is 230ft. The ranges for a 4K 30Hz signal are 115ft for Cat-5e and 131ft for Cat-6. An odd quirk: the local HDMI loop out didn't work for me until I plugged in the receiver at the other end of the Cat-6 cable I used. It seems you HAVE to connect the transmitter and receiver together in order to see anything on the HDMI loop out. Not a problem at all, but kind of odd. Just needs to be kept in mind when setting up. Finally, this product is powered from the transmitter end only. You do not need to power the receiver (in fact the receiver doesn't even have a power port). This is nice - some products of this type require power on both ends but this one does not. Makes for simpler installation/deployment. Review: So far so good - I recently fried the receiver of a fairly expensive extender, and I needed to buy a replacement. My modest need is to run a live stream from a computer to two different screens in the building, each in the range of 40-60 feet away. I tried going the other direction and using a cheap extender instead. That was no-go as well, because I was using a splitter to reach two outputs, my cheap extender wouldn't work. This extender from Orei was my compromise, and it's worked very well so far. With the loop output going to one output and the ethernet output to the other, I was able to ditch my splitter as well, which felt oddly satisfying. Even with the expensive extender I had had an issue with seemingly random intermittent blinking, but so far the connection to both screens has been rock solid. Power on the transmitting end only is handy, there is an IR transmitter as well but it's plug and play. So far I've only been running this a few weeks, but if it lasts I'll be very happy. Someone with more rigorous needs would probably need more than this, but for myself this was an economical and satisfying solution to my needs. ## Features - 4K HDMI Extender: The OREI HDMI extender transmits uncompressed video and audio up to 230 ft (70 m) at 1080p or 131 ft (40 m) at 4K@30Hz over a single CAT6 cable; this HDMI over CAT6 extender supports HDMI 1.4, HDCP 1.4, and up to 10.2Gbps bandwidth for reliable long-distance AV transmission - Smooth 4K Performance: This 4K HDMI extender supports resolutions up to 4K@30Hz YUV 4:4:4 and up to 7.1CH HD audio, including PCM 7.1, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD; HDMI loop out allows a local display connection and supports cascading to another extender for flexible multi-display setups - Easy Remote Control: This HDMI extender with IR supports one-way IR pass-through, allowing control of the source device from the receiver location; Power over Cable (PoC) sends power from the transmitter to the receiver using the CAT cable, while EDID copy helps optimize compatibility between the source and connected displays - Wide Device Compatibility: Works with TVs, monitors, projectors, Blu-ray players, DVD players, set-top boxes, media players, and other HDMI source and display devices; ideal for home theaters, conference rooms, classrooms, multimedia halls, digital signage, and large-screen display applications - What You Get: HDMI transmitter and receiver, IR blaster and IR receiver cables, 12V/1A power adapter, and user manual; includes a 12-month warranty and lifetime OREI tech support; use a direct CAT5e/CAT6 cable connection for optimal performance and avoid network switches or routers ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07WMVMHDV | | Best Sellers Rank | #10,803 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #22 in Satellite TV Splitters #39 in Satellite Television Products | | Brand | OREI | | Built-In Media | Extender & Receiver | | Cable Type | HDMI | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Personal Computer | | Connector Type | HDMI | | Connector Type Used on Cable | HDMI | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 454 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00850008956041 | | Item Highlight | HDMI to Cat 6 Converter, HDMI over Ethernet – HDMI 1. | | Item Weight | 490 g | | Manufacturer | OREI | | Manufacturer Contact Information | info@orei.com | | Mfr Part Number | EX-165C+ | | Model Number | EX-165C+ | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Ports | 4 | | Packer Contact Information | info@fayzelectronics.com , 99250 12671 | | Power Source | Power over Ethernet (PoE) | | UPC | 850008956041 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 Year Warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** OREI - **Cable Type:** HDMI - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** Personal Computer - **Connector Type:** HDMI ## Images ![HDMI Extender Over Cat6 165ft - 4K@30hz, IR, Loop Out, PoC, HDCP 1.4 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61QORBbOZ0L.jpg) ![HDMI Extender Over Cat6 165ft - 4K@30hz, IR, Loop Out, PoC, HDCP 1.4 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ex6qScrFL.jpg) ![HDMI Extender Over Cat6 165ft - 4K@30hz, IR, Loop Out, PoC, HDCP 1.4 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61U6SLLyKRL.jpg) ![HDMI Extender Over Cat6 165ft - 4K@30hz, IR, Loop Out, PoC, HDCP 1.4 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61oM-KS-OhL.jpg) ![HDMI Extender Over Cat6 165ft - 4K@30hz, IR, Loop Out, PoC, HDCP 1.4 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61O98IbimHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid choice for this type of gadget *by M***A on February 15, 2024* I needed to throw an HDMI signal (standard 1080p 60Hz) across the house. The unit has a solid metal housing and mounting holes if you wanna secure it. One thing to note, it doesn't come with its own power block, so you'll need a USB-A power source. It solved my problem of getting audio through a wall with a fire break in the way, and was definitely worth the price. worked at 1080 for me but I'm sure it would support 4k no prob. ## Frequently Bought Together - OREI 4K HDMI Extender over ethernet CAT5/CAT6/CAT7 Up To 165 Feet At 1080@60hz - HDMI 1.4 & HDCP 1.4 Compliant with One Way IR Pass Through, HDMI Loop Output & Power Over Cable - OREI UltraHD 4K @ 60 Hz 1 X 2 HDMI Splitter 1 in 2 Out 2 Port 2: 8-Bit - HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.0, 18 Gbps, EDID, Duplicate / Mirror 4K Screens - UHDS-102 - MiraCase Comfortable 2.4 GHz Long Range Silent Wireless Mouse | 1600 DPI | 30ft Working Distance | Battery Included | Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pl/products/158623824-hdmi-extender-over-cat6-165ft-4k-30hz-ir-loop-out](https://www.desertcart.pl/products/158623824-hdmi-extender-over-cat6-165ft-4k-30hz-ir-loop-out) --- *Product available on Desertcart Poland* *Store origin: PL* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
