Also this hardback version is very well made and fits into my collection nicely Review: German not required - This manga is in german, but before you skip, hold on, because much like the rest of the series, it is pretty light on dialogue and is told so well through the imagery that you can get a sense of what is going on. As there is no plan to release this with an english translation, this may be your best bet. While yes, this is a pre-quel that does not feature kyrii (or killy as some translations call him) it does indeed contain the literal manga piece that started the series, the one that was presented as the concept for it as a bonus feature in the back. BLAME! Has a special place for me and I honestly had no idea this even existed before stumbling across it randomly on desertcart. It’s more BLAME! that’s written the same style as the main series and tsutomu nihei has done a stunning job.
