It keeps things fresh and I’ve enjoyed it while it lasted. I dropped it onto a linoleum floor and it shattered, and I mean shattered. I was shocked at how badly. Obviously I expected it to break but not to the degree it did. You would think I smashed it with a hammer. In the middle was a pile of glass dust that looked like glitter and it went everywhere. I loved the look of it while I had it and it works great as long as you aren’t clumsy like me. Had it been a few pieces I would just order a new one but this breaks bad when it does and will not last long for clumsy people like me. I was trying so hard to be eco conscious but I may have to go back to plastic.
