The first one got left out while I ran the sprinklers on the garden for a few hours. It was thoroughly soaked so I drained it, put it in rice, said a prayer to the tech gods, then promptly got online and bought a replacement. I didn't want to be without my favorite speaker.The newer model connects faster on BT than the previous one. It is a good size and weight to be able to put in your overnight bag and the battery lasts all weekend. The new model has dual speakers and even better bass tones. Decent antenna for am/fm stations.This is probably the best money I have spent on a portable stereo ever. It looks great, it sounds great, and it's extremely easy to use.Oh and BTW, the stereo that got soaked? Yeah, it fired right back up and is back in regular use. I am stoked to have 2 of these now.It is not extremely loud, but it will put out some decent volume and stays clear almost the whole way up. It's loud enough and has enough bass to make the walls buzz a little though! This is my only con for this stereo and even then it's not really a big knock.
