Arrived faster than expected.The remote control has several functions and combinations. Choose color and fade, strobe, flash bright or dim etc. Can stay unplugged from charger for several hours before needing a recharge. Can be removed from stand and hand held. Has a touch button to change manually the colors. Made of a durable material however I wouldn't allow small children to be rough on it, it can't be tossed around like a ball. The "galaxy" design is the paint color on the moon. But does not take from the brilliance of the light. It has a bunch of colors, ALL WITH BRIGHTNESS OPTIONS!!! I was so excited to find that out. But the remote options aren't accurate. Like the "strobe" option faded colors while the "smooth" option changed colors instantly with no fade. The moon also comes with a special hook to hang ot from by string, a nice touch. And the battery life is about 10 hours. Ive gone to sleep with it on at a low brightness setting and woke up and was still going. It does not turn off by itself.
