Just peel off the backing to the adhesive and press it on the fridge. It even came with extra stickers. Which I needed because I accidentally placed one in the wrong spot. And it was HARD to get off. Which is good because it won’t get torn off. It didn’t leave any residue on the fridge. I would buy this again if I needed something similar ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lock for fridge *by T***I on April 6, 2020* Oh. I needed this lock because my grandbabies would wait for me to go to bed to get into the fridge. They would take out food and leave it out uneaten. Waste a lot of food. With the lock they now have to ask and I can sleep knowing they can't get in. ### ⭐ Broke at the first tug. *by M***P on April 4, 2020* Piece of junk! I ordered 2 for our outdoor fridge. I wanted them to deter my neighbors from jumping the fence and rummaging through it when they smoke themselves into oblivion and run out of food to slake their munchies. Installation was pretty easy. The sticky pads are not going anywhere. The problem is that the metal hoop came right off the steel cable with a single, absent minded tug from my son! I installed the sticky pads yesterday morning, plugged the fridge in this morning, and put the padlocks in. Then I ran to the store and grabbed a few groceries. When I got back I asked my son to open the freezer for me and watched him grab the handle and tug...and the hoop just slid off the cable like butter off a hot knife.
