The DSC Labs FrontBox 12+4 is a test chart featuring 12 primary colors as well as a spectrophotometrically neutral 11 step grayscale. These charts assist shooters and engineers align their cameras as precisely as possible. 11 Step Grayscale Grayscales will help optimize tonal reproduction and create richer-looking images. Color and Skintone Although there are only 6 boxes on a Vectorscope, it is important to monitor the curvature of intermediary colors between the boxes. This pertinent information will help display colorimetry reproduction issues within a cameras CCD, as well as show how consistent the lighting is across the board., this FrontBox also features four skin tones and instructions on how to effectively use the chart. Aspect Ratio and Backfocus The FBP includes framing apertures for 16:9 (1.77, 90% and 100%), widescreen film formats 1.85 (90 and 100%) and 2.35 (100%), with a DSC BackFocus Star on the reverse.
