A: The outside diameter is 6-1/2".  The diameter of the flange that holds the o-ring and inserts into the pump filter body is 5-5/8".  Good luck! d

A: You have to turn it about a quarter of a turn and then it kind of snaps in.  Doesn't really screw in.  Hope this helps.

**Q: I have an older SP0714T series vari-flo. Will this cover work on mine?**
A: Yes. This is the same one.

**Q: Is there an o ring on hayward filterez50 on the schaft**
A: The Hayward model # EC50AC uses #ECX5000G Diaphragm Gasket and the Hayward model # EC50A uses # ECX1003 Diaphragm Gasket, instead of a filter head o-ring.
