I fried these two chicken thighs a very short while ago (within the last hour or so)and they were delicious! While I've only been oil frying for a short time (a few months - I started late in life!), I've tried a few different approaches to frying. I've used my own seasoned flour mix, I've used this mix with corn flake crumbs (a la Gordon Ramsay), and they're all good. This breading mix by itself, however, is excellent. It is quick, it is perfectly seasoned, and it is delicious. A couple quick notes... Let your chicken come up to nearly room temperature. Bread your chicken as per the instructions on the package. Let your chicken sit while you heat the oil. Then cook. Your oil doesn't need to be deep; 1/4 inch or 7mm is probably sufficient to cook thighs, drum sticks, and thin sliced chicken breasts. Would I recommend this? I just reordered this product, along with the desertcart Peanut Oil in the background of the photo, sitting next to the House Autry product, so yes, I'd highly recommend it. Frying isn't difficult. If you've never done it, watch videos on frying chicken.
