A common problem evidently. Internally the visor uses a cam pressing on the inside of the visor shell to hold the visor in position. Since the cam presses on the shell from the inside, sooner or later the shell will start to pull apart and the cam will no longer hold it in place.The replacement visor matches my interior correctly and was fairly easy to install (it's at a somewhat awkward angle, but what are you going to do?). I now have a visor that stays in place and looks like the original. I don't know whether it will last 15 years like the original, but that's a minor quibble.
