I have some dark blue tees, but I have trouble finding them after I hit.** A: Yes, I would say they are light blue. Not knowing the shade of blue you already have, I have no problems finding these tee's. (Florida grass). I also bought the 2 3/4 inch tee's (Yellow). Turns out, they were better (as to height) then the 3 1/4...for my swing....good luck. **Q: what is the step length of these blue plastic tees I am interested in how high the ball will be from the ground with this tee** A: The blue Block Head 3.25" tees are 1.75" above the step. It was longer than I liked so I ground them down to 1.50". I also bought some similar shorter step tees but they broke easily; the Block Heads are almost unbreakable. **Q: on the 3 1/4 tee, how long is the top section of the tee? I want a tee with the above ground section to be 1 7/8".** A: The Blue 3 1/4 inch tee will be very close. I just measured mine and discovered a couple of things. First off, the whole Tee is NOT 3 1/4. It measured out at 2 7/8. The above ground measurement s right at 1 13/16. Push it firmly in the ground, you will be at 1 7/8 with no problem. Kind of the same issue with the Yellow 2 3/4 tees I use. The true overall measurement is real close to 2 1/2, with the above ground section measuring at 1 7/16. Most would just round up to 1 1/2 which is standard height for most folks. Just a side note, I have been playing with the exact same tee since last August. Looks worn, but has not broken and still stands tall! Sandy soil here in Florida. I bought three bags of slightly different heights to divide between my father ( 90mph), brother (80 mph) and myself (100 mph). The structure and design are similar, but while the old ones lasted me a few seasons (yes, consistent height, easy to set and I don't care about colors) these new ones are already gone through. They are brittle and break just like any other tee for ALL of us! Should have stuck to the old design/material. I'll go back to cheaper ones as these don't last. This was the selling point for me, reusable - hence the character flexing on the package. Will check back to see if they have resorted to old style, otherwise I only recommend for all qualities BUT strength. And the sharp plastic shards they leave behind are awful.
