The item arrived in good condition and as advertised. Interestingly, the package indicates that the padlock was made in Venezuela. The padlock has no country of origin markings, while the keys have "Made in Italy" on them. I was unable to find this item on Cisa's website, so this may be a new item from old stock (NOS). It was contained within a plastic blister package. Inside, was the padlock, 3 keys, and a thin cardboard insert detailing the product's specifications. There was also a fair amount of a fine black powder which turned my hands black similar to when working on a car. Once the powder was wiped off of the padlock with a paper towel, the chrome plated and brass surfaces appeared nice and bright. The padlock operates smoothly. When the key is turned, a spring pushes the shackle open which is then held in place by a spring loaded detent. While open, the key is unable to be removed from the lock. Pushing the shackle closed, locks it firmly again and allows the key to be removed. This review is just from first impressions, but it's weight and build quality indicates it's up to the intended task. There are the usual small surface imperfections found on new padlocks in general, but nothing that interferes with function or overall aesthetics. I haven't tested it for hardness, but it seems likely to be correctly hardened. I counted 6 pins in the European style dimple core installed in the lock. The core appears to be permanently pinned in place, so it's not practical to rekey this lock or perform detailed maintenance. The keyway is relatively open and will not provide much protection from picking. However, picking is rare and this lock appears up to the task of defending against brute force. Unless I find any issues with this lock in the future, I feel this is a good choice for securing a shed or fence gate. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works great on Heavy Duty Storage Cabinets *by C***O on Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2022* I bought this for a Durham Manufacturing 12 Ga Heavy Duty Storage Cabinet and it works great on fitment and ease of use locking and unlocking. It's heavy but that's a good thing.
