Thank you!** A: Their enameled cast iron pots are made in France. Their stoneware is made in china **Q: Does it whistle?** A: No. It isn't equipped to whistle, it's only function is to serve as a vent. **Q: Has anyone used this with an aluminum or stainless steel pan?** A: Despite being LeCreuset this is actually made in China so I only use this as a decoration in my kitchen - I would never cook with this. **Q: How does it work??** A: You place it in the middle of the pie, add your filling, then add your pie crust. You don't need to poke holes in the crust as this acts as the ventilation. Steam escapes the pie by the bottom of the bird then through the beak.
