Worked great but after only 4 years they are completely corroded. Both the rod casing and the motor casing. They are super expensive. NOT marine grade. I won't be buying again. Since the breaker is in the bilge, i thought it was just a matter of time before i was completely screwed. I agree with the other reviews, much beefier and solid than the original, bolts right into bottom bracket and is the same size, extended length. I also replaced the connectors with heat shrink type. one part that gave me a lot of grief is the top connection. there are two unequal length tubes that connect the actuator to the underside of the engine hatch. because these replacements are so much stronger, these original extensions would not fit over the top cylinder. I would up purchasing stainless steel tube 1-1/4" diameter. Hard to fabricate but absolutely worth it. also, make sure you make the new extensions the exact same length. otherwise the hatch will not close completely. I also chickened out and had two 2x4 posts made to hold the hatch in place while i replaced the actuators. I didn't need to modify anything, as the stroke and length were the same as the original unit that came in the boat. This unit bolted in exactly as the original unit that was on the boat did.
