Review: Eliminates bag replacement, seriously, there is nothing in there! - $300 is a lot to pay for something like this and I had to justify it but I’m glad I got it. It extracts all but the minuscule amount of the extremely fine micro dust that my CT26 grabs in the bag. I’ve gone through a full “basket” of collecting sander dust, domino chips and hose end cleanup on the bench and am very pleased with the performance. It fits the CT26 very solidly, doesn’t stifle suction at all and elevates the hose for bench work (I mainly us it in my shop). If I’m not buying expensive bags then I’m happy. I also don’t want to avoid general shop cleanup with my CT26 by thinking I’m just filling up an expensive bag and could do it another way. I bought the CT26 to do that job and many others to keep the air breathable and healthy as possible so why compromise. Overall it’s working great, just wish it would have been around the $200-$250 mark and I think it would be a no brainer for most to add to their cleaning arsenal.
Review: It may not fit correctly on you Dust Extractor - I ordered this to put on a CT MIDI unit. There are several problems with installation. 1. The hose provided is not long enough for the MIDI. If the MIDI inlet was on the front of the machine the hose would work fine. But on the MIDI the inlet is under the Systainer area above the back wheels. The only way to route the hose is through an opening at the front, then all the way to above the back wheels. If the hose where 12-16" longer it would work fine. I had to find another hose I could order that was the right diameter and will have to custom cut the length. 2. The Oneida container will not lock into the Systainer clips. The two clips on the long side are able to lock but the pins on each end are not molded correctly and the clips will not lock on. This is a major issue because the Oneida unit will NOT stay in place. If there is the slightest tug on a hose the Oneida box just slides off the CT MIDI. I have a Systainer that is able to clip and lock in place just fine. So I believe this is an Oneida mold problem during manufacturing. This is completely unacceptable from a company like Oneida. I have not had contact yet with Oneida to find a fix for item 2 but, when I do, I will update this review. UPDATE: Heard back from Oneida. I must say I am very disappointed. I found out that Oneida has known about this problem for a couple of years but, has failed to modify the design of the product. Oneida's solution to the problem is for me to modify the unit by grinding away the plastic that is in the way. In my opinion an end user should not have to make modifications to a brand new product when using that product as expected.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Like a Champ

Arrived on time and in good condition. Set up was easy, especially after watching a third party video online. No noticiable degradation of the draw with the Dust Deputy. The only modification I had to make was adding a wye to my 2" PVC boom arm above MFT table height as the Dust Deputy adds about two feet to the height of the CT26 and the hose at the inlet of the Deputy would have to be routed down and then back up through the PVC, causing me to lose 2" of hose at the tool end. Overall, a great, well made product that is a little pricey (like what with a "Festool" related product isn't), but it will save me a small fortune in bag replacement in the CT.
