As long as you can identify the incoming live and neutral wires (the live will be coming from the switch) the connection is straightforward. The unit is double insulated so doesn't need to be earthed and in fact there is no earth wire on the unit, just (as I said) live and neutral. **Q: Are these any good in kitchens that need more light** A: Hi, I bought one for my kitchen and also for my dining room which totally transformed the quality of light in both. I fully recommend this product. **Q: How much room sits between the unit and the ceiling? I need to conceal a 2.5cm transformer within and need to know if it will fit please?** A: Hi you fit a bracket to the ceiling then the unit fits to it with two screws 👍 The bracket fits flush to the ceiling hope this helps 👍 **Q: Can i use an led dimmer switch with this?** A: i do not think so it is described as not dimmable in the description. trying a dimmer switch would probably damage it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install, plug and play with old light adapter. *by M***H on 17 August 2023* I bought this because it has the same connection to my old LED light. All i had to do was take the old one off.. unplug (see 2nd pic) and connect the new one.. no wiring required. Oh i had to change the bar that fits to rear of the light as the old one was 28cm and this new one is 30cm. Nice and bright 6500k brightness. Maybe quicker for others.This is sleek & compact the style is basic but value for money.I am going to replace all my lights with this fitting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to fit, what a difference *by R***T on 9 January 2020* Was looking for LED lighting for my kitchen which had 2 sets of spotlights with 3x GU10 bulbs in them.Found these, good reviews, so ordered two. Now I am not the greatest DIY person but thought I would try fitting myself before getting someone out. Power off at the mains fuse box, took down old light. New light only has live and neutral, no earth. Was as simple as taking two screws out the block connector in ceiling, releasing existing light and then wiring up new light. Even easier as the light itself contains a push/twist plug so you can disconnect the physical light, climb the ladders with just the two wires section. Wire that in, screw in light support bracket and then connect light up.
