I find most New Balance shoes to be comfortable, and my favorite style is the 574. I purchased this shoe because I wanted some skate shoes and figured it would make sense to buy them from a brand I liked and already knew my size in.Compared to every other New Balance sneaker I have tried this shoe in a size 11 is much too narrow even for my feet. It pinches uncomfortably all along the middle of the foot.The shoes are also slightly shorter than a normal New Balance 11. I normally have a perfect amount of room in the toe box with New Balance's size 11, but my toes lightly pressed against the front of this shoe.The arch support for these shoes is also placed very poorly, so far forward that it presses against the ball of the foot instead of the arch where it belongs.Other than the sizing these shoes seem pretty nice. The construction is good, the soles feel solid, and they offer the functionality of a skate shoe without looking as oversized and goofy as most skate shoes. If the sizing wasn't so far off normal for New Balance I would definitely keep these. If you're considering purchasing these I would suggest going up 1/2 size and then purchasing "W" width to give yourself more room. ### ⭐ Not designed for skateboarding *by M***W on Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2019* Shoes arrived on time and fit as expected. I received many complements from friends and coworkers about the style and look of the shoes. I also found the shoe very comfortable to walk in.Quality: I cannot recommend these shoes as skateboarding shoes. I cannot stress that enough. Zappos and New Balance should immediately change the description. Please, if you are looking for skateboard shoes - DO NOT BUY. I have owned these shoes for less than a month and have used them to skateboard in maybe 10 times. As you can see by the pictures, the shoes have completely worn through. Skateboarding is by nature very rough on shoes, but after many years of skateboarding I have never had a pair wear out this quickly. The value for the money is not there. I will only be able to use these a few more times before I have to buy new ones. Just think - $47/ month for shoes! If you are just looking for sneakers, these will be perfectly fine. If you are looking for skateboarding shoes - do not buy! ### ⭐⭐ Love the look *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2019* These shoes look great, and they fit pretty well. The build quality is a little iffy though. The sole on these is incredibly stiff and noisy to walk in. When I walk it sounds like I'm wearing a stiff wooden soled dress shoe. They literally echo down hallways and thud against floors. I've never had a skate shoe or sneaker with as stiff a sole as these new balances 574's.
