However, I was looking for a serious walking shoe to wear for walking exercise. It fit well, but was not very padded inside. The heel felt hard and I suspect the shoe would rub uncomfortably after 4-5 miles of walking. Dansko has apparently given up on an athletic type shoe since it stopped making the Shayla. Shayla was nicely padded and my orthotics fit very will into them. I have had to go looking elsewhere to find what I need. But due to the fact they are big and clunky I wanted to try the sneakers. They are very comfortable and fit very well but they don’t have as much bottom support as the shoes.
