Decent sound quality, but I did notice some scaling issues but they were easy to fix. Really easy to use. Only downside I have experienced was that after owning this for a year, is one of my outputs stopped working. I have to emphasize my requirements first. I have a very old Marantz 5.1 AV receiver that doesn't support HDMI. Its sound quality lets me want to keep it. So I'm looking for a switch box that has1. 4 HDMI inputs;2. 2 HDMI outputs as I have a TV and a projector in the AV room;3. at least one optical output to the AV receiver for surrounding sound decoding;I picked up this product as it meets all my requirements. Also I specifically tried to find a switch box with an EDID dip switch because this helps HDMI sources know that the switch box is asking for 5.1 surrounding signal.I tested the box thoroughly after I got it and every function works as I expected. The only exception is my Sony bluray player. No matter how I change EDID dip settings, It only outputs 2 channel stereo signal through HDMI. I'm sure this is caused by some missing HDMI handshake protocol that this box misses. The Sony bluray player maybe very strict on the missing protocol and downmix the surrounding sound to stereo. My PS3 and XBox One X work perfectly with this switch box.Other than the Sony bluray player, the remote and dual output work flawlessly. It has a metal housing and runs very cool.
