I bought it and tried it. It does hold an extra monitor well, but I noticed my monitor on my Laptop starting to change colors where it was clamped in. I tried all the different sized pads it came with but they where all still too tight. I made my own pads using some tape to see if I could salvage this product, but unless it's tight enough to clamp on, and put stress on the laptop monitor, it will not stay in place.
