It is not as precise as any kind of metal shop tooling, but this is a woodshop, so that's ok. Truth is, most of the loss in precision has to do with the fact that I'm using this by hand instead of in a controlled setup.I'm quite happy with the quality of its build and its accuracy, especially for the price paid. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent gauge *by T***D on September 6, 2020* This is my favorite making gauge. I like the pencil line, instead of just a cut or scratch. The markings are easy enough to read in both metric and standard. The metals are all well finished, heavy and smooth. The long rollers are easy to remove. The pencil and scribe are swappable, and the measurements remain true. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Shaft shipped with burr, wheel wobbled *by A***R on December 13, 2019* Nicely made with the exception of the business end where the attachments screw on. The very very small raised portion had a burr and was not true to the shaft. At first I thought a quality issue with the bearing in the cutting wheel, but on second inspection, it was the burr. I managed to get it true enough with a fine india stone so it runs almost straight, but as it shipped it would not have been usable to create a straight line inset from the edge of a piece of timber, thus 1 star revoked.
