We cleaned the cabinets with orange oil, and the new knobs look colorful, really unique and made an appreciable difference in our kitchen! Love them! The worst part of the installation was removing the old ones, several had be cracked off with a wrench to remove the hardware. The new knobs come with two silver cups and we flipped one around on the outside of the cabinets for more clearance from the doors and drawers and an easier grasp. Each knob comes with a 1 1/2" long threaded post, two hex nuts, two washers and a lock nut. Exactly how the manufacturer expects you to install these on the door is unclear as there are no installation instructions. Regardless, whatever you're expected to do, you're not going to have an attractive install with the hardware they give you. Trust me...I've been doing kitchen cabinets for years.My suggestion is to go to your local hardware store (or internet) and purchase a 1/2" metal spacer to place between the outer door surface and the porcelain knob (see picture). This allows you to grip the knob properly (since it stands away from the cabinet face) and also reduces the interior projection of the post to something that is reasonable for a standard 3/4" or 5/8" thick cabinet door.I gave them 4 stars because I found a relatively easy workaround.
