It has all the typical features you expect such as program start (aka delay start), 2 hour auto shut off, clock, and a wire mesh brewing basket. When you lift the brewer's lid the drip head is automatically lifted up and out of the way, which is much easier than having to push the drip head left or right before you can add or remove the solid brewing basket. To be a 5-star product, it would need a count-down display for the 2-hour auto shut-off, a larger diameter drip head, and an adjustable keep-warm hot plate. I found you can compensate for the small drip head by putting a paper filter inside the wire-mesh basket which further confines the coffee grinds brewing surface to a smaller area. This brewer makes a consistent flavored cup of coffee, it is lite weight, has good countertop friction pads, and a wide mouth carafe for easy cleaning. The only issue I have is seeing the indicator on the side of the coffee maker when I'm filling it with water. We have limited counter space and where we need to place the maker it's difficult to see the water level indicator.
