But I expected it to work for more than 1 year. I'm not buying it again. Review: Good Tuner...Very Nice price - Not sure what prompted some of the harsher reviews on this tuner....(perhaps quality control means some bad ones slip thru)..... The tuner I received works quite well. I tested it against three other tuners....all known to be accurate....and the Meisel matched almost exactly to all of them....showing no more than 1 cent..(one small bar)...difference in only a couple of tonal ranges. When attached to my violin peg head, it provides a bright, easy-to-read view. If you are a beginner and plan to use this as a visual reference of whether-or-not you are "on key" with your fingering....be sure to use it only when you are playing longer, smoother notes. Like all vibration sensitive tuners, it needs at least a small amount of steady tonal vibration to register...and while experienced violinists almost always hit their notes cleanly....beginners do not.
