I'd say it's definitely written more for (and from) physicians who diagnose and evaluate different pathology. I'm in a cardiac sonography program and our director had us purchase this book to use for class but I find a lot of the information is too intense for what we need to know. Also you can tell the text is written by multiple authors as the writing style and language varies greatly, from simple to doctor lingo.
