They come with a protective pouch and 4 plastic caps for each of the lenses. The magnification is probably fair for the price point and the item does have a nice quality feel to it. These are not the most powerful binoculars, but if you are looking for something to take a closer peep at with and make out the details from a far, these will work out great for you. I was even able to make out the craters on the moon. There are probably smaller binoculars out there that work just as good, if not better than these. I only say that because these are full size and I feel that for that size they should be more powerful. Not really a negative, just something I wanted to point out in case someone wanted something that was more portable or would take up less space in a bag or something. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loads of fun, but some flaws. *by M***9 on Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2013* These binoculars give a low powered view so you can see the big picture, but still magnify enough to show plenty of detail you can't see naked eye. Their apparent field of view is just as large and not larger than most wide field binoculars. I've seen the advertised specs vary. The eye relief is OK without glasses, but did give me some trouble until I got the interpupilary distance right. For a while I could not see the full field of view.Like most binoculars, the eyepiece caps are loose. But the objective caps are tight. The focus is tight, which keeps it sharper than my 10x50, whose eyepieces get pushed in when I press them against my eyes, pushing it out of focus. Now and then, I'll see a slight double image, but usually I see one. No head aches.Other than that, everything else is perfect. It focuses fast and clearly and is a true 7x. The view looks flat and distortion free on amateur inspection. However, if I follow a star across the field, it start turning into a seagull by 50% out, like most binoculars in this price range. The aberration is not noticeable in my peripheral view. I can see far away cars and buildings at night very well with these. It is amazing what dim stuff you can see with the magnification. The outer 10% gets a bit dimmer because it is bk7. 7x almost does not need a focus wheel if you put it at the right focus once and have good eye accommodation. My 25x force me to refocus for each distance. The housing feels and looks very rigid yet light. They do not look or feel cheap. These binocular give a very 3D affect to terrestrial stuff. These 7x35 are light weight and easy to hold steady once you practice.They are $32. I tested a pair of $80 Nikon 7269 10x50 against them. The Nikons near focused at 12 feet, better than the Tasco's 14, even more impressive for a 10x. The Nikons were a bit brighter in the evening, and a lot larger. The Nikon lens caps attach to a strap. But are all these improvements worth paying over twice the price? I think not.I've had the 7x35 for a year, and they are still the same. I never dropped them, though.The $15 GSI binos I looked through required perfect eye placement to avoid a black shadow cutting off the view. These are easy to look though. I do not wear glasses. The exit pupils are not perfectly round though. They are brightest in a square area and light shadows outside the square to finish to circles. I can see flares at the edge of view if there is a nearby bright light. Every binocular I looked through does not blacked the sides of their prisms, so they all have this problem, although it might prevent you from looking at the sun.As I aim angled light at the lenses, both of the two reflections I see are blue.. The actual view is true color. The $15 GSI 10x50 I returned had one colored and one white reflection in its front lens.The zip focus is fast and easy. I have to remember which direction to go for maximum speed, but if I know the direction, I can focus on anything in 1 second. I was looking for something decent but considering his age was not going to spend much money. I only looked through them a couple of times but they seem to be good. They aren't to big and bulky and seem to be pretty clear. Can't say how long they will last particularly in 10 year old hands but definitely seem good for him. From what I could tell from limited use even if you are an adult looking for a reasonable pair of binoculars at a low price these seem good. Pretty light weight, grip seems good, and overall function seems good. Lens covers are tight on one end and loose on the other, bag is nothing special but what do you expect at this price range.
