The glass is good quality and quite thick, giving this a robust feel. I have used others and the glass can give the impression of being fragile - this is not like that. I've used on one batch of distillate and the guage reads pretty much as I expect, which gives some confidence on accuracy. I'd need to test on some known samples to be fully confident but it is close enough for home use. The plastic case is very helpful the protect this when not in use. It's robust enough to protect when in a drawer, or for low drops onto the floor, but obviously still need care as this is a glass product.
