I love that bag, and Samsonite agreed to fix it...but in the end, it was cheaper and quicker to just buy a new strap. Also, some reviewers of that bag complained about the hardware clips breaking on the strap, as mine did.So, I got this one. It was tricky trying to match up the colors. The center part of the strap with the stitching matches closely (well, close enough) but the color of the backing part is kinda too light in color (base color is orange-brown), even though that color matches the stitching on the bag itself (complicated, I know). What I like about this is that the metal clips on this replacement strap seem a lot tougher and thicker than t hose on the original bag, so I'm hoping it will last longer, because the bag itself is exactly what I want in every way (other than the clips breaking). One more thing...the color of the clip is ever so slightly lighter than the connecting hardware on the bag, but one is not likely to notice unless you look close. I don't think many people will be looking that closely.The strap is adjustable in length and is at least as long as the strap it replaces, and is long enough for me, and I'm 6 ft 1in tall. The price is pretty good on this too, otherwise I'd dock it a point.
