I asked a question re the outside size of this since 3/4" didn't mean anything to me (in the product description).  The answers I got were incorrect. Fortunately the web confirmed that the outside measurements of this unit are indeed ~2" by ~2" and I can attest to that (see pic for the right control I have received so far).  I hope this helps you.  Also look at the Q&A of the right control to get more info.

This replacement worked great on our honeycomb cellular shades that are probably 18 years old now. I believe the shades were originally from Home Depot or 3-Day Blinds, but I determined that the Hunter Douglas parts work perfectly on them. The metal sheath over the plastic makes all the difference as it should prevent the grooving that I've seen on several of our 6'0x4'0 window shades (oddly, the grooving doesn't seem to affect the 4'0x4'0 shades). I just ordered the second replacement now that I know this cord lock is high quality & operates very smoothly. Much thanks to the seller!
