On the highest setting it helps me remember to sit up straight and allows me to keep my chair as high as I like it. I love it. Second, I don't understand some of the negative reviews. I would just recommend buying a chair that goes to the height that you need and skip buying a foot rest. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fellowes Standard Foot Rest *by C***M on December 28, 2009* I'm using this one right now and I love it, the only problem is once it comes off the roller track if you try to roll it forward or back it tends to come off the track. The bubbles on it really helps relax my feet, I love taking my shoes off and just letting the foot stool relax my feet. For me it works fine, its sturdy and well constructed for the money it is a heavy plastic. If you don't want to have to reset it on the track all the time then spend a little more and one that won't come off the track. Yet all in all I'm very please with it.. If I bought one again I would spend a little more and get one a bit heavier, one that would not come off the track.
