I selected the Brooks Ghost 12's as I need a good cushion, good fit and a good weight. I have been having pain in my hips, knees, ankles and have had trouble with my shins. I had noticed that Dad was lacing his shoes up quite tight, and decided to try to find him some narrow sneakers instead. These shoes were absolutely perfect! The narrow width allowed him to better adjust the laces for proper fit and good comfort and stability as he walked. He walked easier and beter wearing properly fitted shoes. PLEASE make a version of these shoes with hook-and-loop straps instead of laces. Dad's hands struggle with laces at all now, and I had to change him over to shoes with hook-and-loop straps. I have found none that come in narrow widths, so Dad is once again wearing shoes that are a little too wide, reducing the stability of his step.
