Are there any links to download the software (from a safe site)** A: Mine came on a mini cd not a U disk, what you are looking for is a GRBL software (Candle) or equivilent GRBL, and you will need a laser software (LaserLite) or equivilent (LaserGRBL) or get in touch with Mostics through Amazon and complain, they are very supportive, I have had to have several dealings with them unfortunately. **Q: Can you mark brass on this machine?** A: Dear sir , yes, it can make brass , but it's diffcult , you'd better choose a more strong machine , the frame made all of the metal , just like cnc1310 cnc1419 . **Q: hi I have lost the u drive for my 3018 is it possible to get sent another one or the download sent to my email .what is best way as I new to this** A: Hi, U drive ?, do you mean U disc, mine never came with one, mine came with a small cd, You could try contacting mostics for another one or depending on which particular part of it you are wanting you may be able to do a search online for it. Used everyday for work and pleasure. *by B***Y on 2 November 2020* There is a huge choice in cnc machines so I wanted one that included both engraving and laser attachments.After a lot of research I went for this one. Delivered quickly and everything included. Instructions were adequate for both assembly and use. One thing I found which many others didn’t have was knobs on the x,y,z axis to move manually. This is useful to get in cutting or laser burning position. Connecting to PC (I use a old netbook so a latest one not necessary) did cause some head scratching to start with but after installing the right drivers it worked fine. The software is basic for both engraving and laser but works well. I have found no need to upgrade it. Some extras you might want to add are a z probe touch plate usually £8-9 and some end stops.It’s used for laser engraving boxes with logos and the router for cutting out shapes in wood.Would I buy another one, yes. ### ⭐ What a waste of money! *by D***M on 6 September 2020* Arrived with no laserModule. The offline controller didn’t work. The software provided doesn’t instal either. I tested out the machine using the spindle..it worked fine for all of about 10 minutes.. i then went out and when I got home, I turned the machine on again to again, use the spindle and the more on the z axis won’t work. I contacted amazon to ask for the parts to be sent to me next day delivery (same as machine) but apparently this couldn’t be done. So now I’m having to wait for it to be collected for a return.. wait days for a refund.. to rebuy! In the meantime, I have emailed mostics on the email provided with the product and I’m awaiting a reply. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality *by S***M on 13 November 2019* Good quality piece of machinery, haven't really got all information to work it yet as it's very complex to cut pieces etc. Happy with purchase, pls be aware there's a tax payment I was unaware of I was involved for, without knowing! Company did reimburse me for it, but just didnt know. Perhaps a little more information as an introductory booklet for getting started etc would be helpful.
