## Description

This 16 inch black heavy duty full-grain leather upper engineer biker boot is tough enough to protect against a harsh work environment and classy enough to convey status. A split shaft and two adjustable straps with buckle closures allow for a custom fit at the calf. Goodyear welt construction ensures durability.

Review: These boots are great! They fit perfectly and are very comfortable - These boots are great! They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The uppers are soft enough to flex easily for walking and particularly for shifting, but are not saggy. They fit my large calves like a glove. Folks with average to small calves may find the shaft a bit large, but there is plenty of adjustment. The insole is nicely padded and supports my arch properly. They are made of really nice leather. I've never seen a boot of this quality for such a low price. They are made in China, but hey, so is about 90% of all the footwear sold today. These are not low quality junk. I'm short (5'7") so the boots come to just below my knee. They will afford great protection again stones while riding on dirt and gravel roads which was the main reason I bought these. I had originally purchased off road riding boots but they were too stiff to allow any ankle flex in order to shift gears on my Kawasaki Versys 650. They are unlined so I would recommend wearing knee high socks to protect the skin on your shins and calves from leather rash. I've experienced nothing negative relative to these boots.
Review: Good Boot, Good Value - NOTE: buckles not as pictured by seller I wanted a tall, full grain leather boot with classic lines (AND NO ZIPPER) that was not a chore to put on, one that will age with character. This boot checks all the boxes; and at a really good price point. After riding in them for over a month, I can say they are wearing in nicely. I'm 6'2" and wear a 13m; these come up over my entire calf. Even without finger loops, they slide on without too much trouble, and they accommodate thick boot socks nicely. Easy off with a boot jack. Lots of adjustment in the straps, and room for more holes. The 1" straps come all the way out of the buckle (which has a solid metal bar through the middle). Soles are dense and thick (they should take heel/toe rands and sole plates without issue - but too thick for standard steel toe kicks/caps). Good to wear with pants in or out (assuming no skinny jeans). The legs of my 550's slide over with ease and no binding; or jeans can be tucked after leg is in boot. I've included pictures that answered some of my questions (for one instance, the vamp flap). Flex creasing is behind the toe cap (where it should be) while the cap holds its shape. Very comfortable for all day wear. Freedom of movement in the toes but no wallowing, and the heel follows just fine. You just can't go wrong at the price point. UPDATE: over 1 year and 10,000 miles on a touring bike in these boots, I'm still loving them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent All-Around
*by A***A on April 10, 2022*

Bought these both for occasional wear and for cosplay and historical tomfoolery. They look awesome with my cosplay outfit, and I'm wearing them to a ren faire as well. Not to mention that I've worn them almost every day for a month and a half, and they're holding up well. Please note that some of the negative reviews are from people who don't understand the nuances of knee-high leather boots. They're a zebra of a different stripe. Don't expect a nice, form fit around the feet, nor around the legs. They are a little loose in the calves, but that's for sticking your pant legs in there. They are a little loose on the feet, but if they weren't, it would take an act of congress to get them on and off. I have a pair of leather riding boots like that, and they are a pain to get on and off. See that strap on top of the foot? That's for tightening once they're on. I put in an extra hole, an cinch those things down to keep my feet from sliding forward. Also, wear thicker socks. Even in the summer. Trust me. I own or have owned riding boots, WW2 German and Russian jack boots and repro Civil War cavalry boots in addition to these. You wear thick socks with them. It's just what you do. Wear dress socks, ankle socks or thinner crew/athletic socks, you'll have blisters, your feet will slide worse, and you'll have boots that smell like vinegar and regret. These are good boots. Would have rated them higher, but the leather is just a tad on the soft side. They scratch easily, so be advised.
