Review: Works for me. - Using this as a local NAS, with a 500gb chip in a USB socket and a 6tb external drive connected. Running Samba so the MS boxes can map drives. The case is fine. Fans are quiet for now. I'm not over clocking the Pi, so heat really isn't a problem. This seems like a good choice.

**Q: Are the fans always on or just when needed?**
A: I believe that the fans are on all the time when connected to +5 v. & Gnd.  You could program them to be controlled by a PWM signal.

**Q: What is the width of the two fans?**
A: Each fan is 25mm x 25mm measured on the x any y dimension. There are mounting hole supports on the diagonal corners. The diameter measured from edge of mounting holes from one corner to the other is about 33mm.

**Q: Thermal pads tore in many pieces as i pulled off the clear film. what size do i need to replace for cpu/usb chip?**
A: Same size as the chip, or slightly larger.

**Q: What is the width of the two fans?**
A: 25 mm square each.

This is a well-made, quite durable, nicely-designed and finished aluminum case/heat sink for the RPI that fits perfectly... except that the opening for the GPIO pins is rounded on the inside, and little too narrow to accept a standard 40 pin ribbon cable connector (53.6mm wide vs 55.5mm). I haven't decided whether to grind the opening a little wider (and uglify it in the process), or to try trimming the connector a little narrower (and potentially have it fall to pieces).
