I figured that a cheap alternative to an official Xbox 360 controller was going to be...well, pretty rubbish but okay. How wrong was I?First impressions:On unpacking, I was presented with a sleek, well finished product that is easily on par with the official product. All buttons appeared to be responsive (no sticky buttons that can often occur on replicas) and one little thing stood right out - the highly polished, mirror-effect home button. It's really cool - my son's first words were "cool button". So, we're off and rolling.Performance:I have no complaints - it does what it is supposed to do...work. In fact, it works really well. Home button works correctly to open up Xbox live controls in-game, select, start, A, B, X, Y....all fluid and accurate and with no dropouts at all.So far, so good...on par with official Xbox 360 controllersThose are the pro's.Cons:Cable is shorter than I would have liked - my current official controllers have 3 metre cables. It's not a deal breaker as I sit at my PC when gaming anyway, but for sometimes...I'd like the option to sit comfortably in another county!!Conclusion:As my headline says "Perfect and affordable solution". Bought this for my mac and works like a charm. My only minor criticism is that the accuracy of movement when using the sticks is a little slow. When you want to perform pinpoint aiming it doesn't allow for very small, minor movements, which left me a little frustrated when playing Portal 2.
