**Q: Will this mic work on a ham radio?**
A: This microphone will work with amateur equipment.  Most transceivers require high impedance dynamic inputs, making this microphone acceptable.  Astatic microphones were designed for this application.Joe

**Q: is the mic wired with a plug? if so for what?**
A: Originally these microphones were supplied with no plug.  They may be wired to commercial transceivers as well as CB radios.  There is a plethora of combinations to complete the wiring.  It would be impossible to select the correct configuration.  I maintain a dbase that contains the wiring codes of the transceivers I have wired through the years.  If you purchase, and advise as to the transceiver, I can provide the wiring detail.  There is printed material enclosed that would list the wires and a schematic as well.
