Minimal protection. Loosely fits on the phone. Very thin. The kickstand is really loose and protrudes out. So be careful laying it down or you will damage the desk or table. Also, be careful laying it down on the screen side. I swapped it for an old leather case with front cover I had had for a few years. The leather case with cover provided better overall protection, I have dropped my phone several dozen times with the older case and never had an issue.
