Personally, I've never done it until I was offered the opportunity to try and test this as a consumer for a deeply discounted price. The box it comes in is very nice however I couldn't read what it said on the back. The writing was in a light gold color but it didn't pop on the black. I seriously can't read it which is why it loses a star. I only drink white wine, usually Reisling which I love. I poured one glass the way I always do, right into the glass. I tasted it, it was good. I poured a 2nd glass through the Aerator fulling expecting it to taste like the first glass but it was a little different. I could taste some underlying tone that wasn't in the first glass so I cranked up the Aerator to 4 and poured it through again. Oh my... to my surprise, it was like a whole new bottle of wine. A more expensive one. I'll need to stock up on more wine because this was kind of fun. I want to try red and see if I'll like it if it's aerated. I got a little taste for the joy of wine tasting. One other thing, I really like the base that it sits on. It's grounded very well and it's nice that it comes with a velvet bag for travel or to go to a friends house.
