I love cotton anything but cotton hard to find. Plastic clothes are in, sprayed on pants, and below the belly button waistline. I don’t like any of these. I wanted comfortable pants to wear around the house. I wanted a drawstring because after several surgeries, I needed something I could easily adjust; anything too snug makes me miserable. I love pockets (always in need of a tissue). Because of my health issues, I bought medium even though am quite thin. I washed in cold water and dried in delicate; they came out a perfect fit. When you wash them, knot the sash or part of it may disappear into the waistband; I had to use a safety pin to fix (pull out the whole sash, put safety pin on one end, insert into opening and keep pushing pin along until it comes out on the other end. I also put a knot on each end of the sash to avoid this happening again. For the money, I can’t see how you can buy anything better. I'm post pregnancy and not near former weight. Currently, at 5'7" and in the 160-170's as far as weight, the medium fits well. If I were any bigger, I'd need a large. With that being said, when I return to the 120's-130's, the medium will be looser, but will still fit. My guess is if someone was smaller than 120 pounds and a similar height, they would need the small. I hope this helps. These are the most comfortable pants I have ever owned and they look great! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceeded my expectations! *by P***L on Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2017* The fabric is very soft, although not quite as much as 100% cotton. It has a bit of stretchiness from the 5% spandex, and is lightweight and appropriate for warmer weather use. I'm 5'6, 135lbs and the medium fits me trimly without being clingy or tight. The length is just right for me, and I'll line dry them to prevent any shrinkage. The front pockets aren't deep, but I'm thrilled to have pockets at all.
