But: these filters last for three months - why not a four piece package, so I can buy once a year? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but s-l-o-w-w-w-wwww. *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2014* These filter well and fit PUR, if you know what to do.When I first placed this in the PUR filter picture, it leaked like a sieve. I was just about to toss it in the trash and write a bad review when my wife noticed that the o-ring looked out of place. I have to mention that I placed this directly into the filter right out of the wrapper. The o-ring was beneath a spacer right on the filter itself. When she placed the o-ring into the grove, it fit fine and no leaks. The ironic thing is that the PUR filter also has an o-ring, but no spacer so right out of the wrapper, they look the same. You have to make sure the o-ring is seated correctly or it will not work at all.Next - we filled the picture with water and this drips super slow. 35 minutes later and it is still not finished.So - make sure the o-ring is seated, be patient and get nicely filtered water. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fit my PUR pitcher well, the water tastes great. It is the 5 cup one like this: PUR 5 Cup Water Filter Pitcher CR-4000  It fits some other pitchers too, but this is the one I tested it with.They just screw right down in it and they seem to be working fine. I can't validate the filtering quality but I can only say that the water tastes very good, like before when I used the PUR filters.These filters last for 80 gallons or about 3 months and I am quite pleased with that.These filters have a 4 stage filter- they filter out sediment, heavy metals, and it says chlorine, herbicides, and pharmaceuticals. They DO retain Flouride.Each filter is individually packaged so you can take them out of the box to store if you like.
