As a result, the water does not drain, and removing it becomes more work than the product is worth. Additionally, the drain plug is not flush with the tub floor, so water does not enter the drain until it rises high enough to reach the edge of the plug. The drain sleeve is made of the same flexible material as the rest of the tub. When weight is applied, the sleeve becomes compressed, causing its walls to collapse and stick together, which further prevents proper drainage. Using this tub, it took me approximately three hours to bathe my mother—an activity that normally takes about one hour using a shower curtain and many towels to manage the water.
